National President of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Professor Biodun Ogunyemi has mobilized members of the union for strike and mass action commencing Wednesday to force the Federal Government to revert the pump price from N145 to N86.50.
In a letter sent to members of the congress nationwide and read at the University of Ibadan Chapter where the Chairman, Dr Deji Omole mobilized members to get ready for mass resistance to what he called the obnoxious and callous policy of fuel price increment.


According to Omole, the policy of subsidy removal was the most criminal ambush from the Mohammadu Buhari-led federal government to empower the rich and cripple the poor.
The ASUU boss who said that the common denominator to all Nigerians is poverty added that the same APC government that failed to pay civil servants for months is now celebrating budget signing with the legalization of black market.
Omole who noted that many state governors who now align with the removal of subsidy ran their states aground through wasteful spending added that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission should beam search lights on state governors.
ASUU boss noted that the coup against the masses adding that since Nigeria runs motorized economy, Nigerians cannot be forced to carry the problems created by the rich and friends of government.
ASUU president in the letter entitled “Increase in Pump price of Premium Motor Spirit to N145 perlitre: Proposal for Joint Action with NLC stated that ASUU members are called upon to according to our Union’s principles, fully respect Article 2 of the Constitution of ASUU; that our Union and members shall work for the protection and advancement of the socio-economic interests of the nation. Branch Chairpersons are to conduct emergency congress meetings on Tuesday 17 May 2016 to mobilise our members for the action commencing on Wednesday. All branches of ASUU nationwide are to comply”
Ogunyemi anchored the position on “delayed, partially paid and in most cases unpaid salaries for a number of months by state, federal and local governments, disguised retrenchment of workers, especially by State Governments, in the name of verification exercise and endless hunt for ghost workers and heavy taxation”.

Prior to dating ,we were wonderful friends as students,we studied together,had fun together did alot of things .Gush we were happy.But not too long we agreed to date.We dated for years without sex as she claimed she was a virgin.A man has got to be a man.I convinced that we engaged in fore play once a while we did romance and but never penetrated.Not too long she said she i had disvirgined  her1! Annually, Saadat Grant Scholarship Scheme under the office of SAADAT GRANT FOUNDATION award scholarships to deserving students in the tertiary institutions of developing countries. The programme is aimed at promoting academic excellence and quality health development in these Countries. UNIPORT ON FIRE AS 3 STUDENTS LOSE THEIR LIVES

The university of portharcourt , Uniport for some months have been a battle field as the students lost faith In the vice chancellor of the University considering his decision which led to the death of three students of the University, One of them being the student union personnel.

The vice chancellor of the university, uniport due to unknown reasons increase the Tuition fees of the university forgetting that even in its initial state ranked among the most costly Federal Universities in Nigeria. This the student found to be very unappealing and passed it talked with the Vice chancellor of the institution ,the university of portharcout  ,uniport, the whole issue still went on unchanged .The students who most of them could hardly even afford the present price of the fees, went into a peaceful riot to the vice chancellors office. The vice chancellor neglecting the appeal of these students, invited the police and sss, which came and in no time started releasing fire to the students. This  action cause the death of three students of the institution, one shot repeatedly into his heart with instant death.

Lives lost, hopes chattered and dreams crushed ,you can imagine what the parents of those children are going through right now.They may be only children,whose parents are struggling to see through school, what will become of such parents now? .

 FIRST SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS OF 2015/2016 SESSION
Following Senate’s approval, the University Management wishes to inform all Returning Students that the Registration Portal will be open for two (2) weeks, from Tuesday, 3rd to Monday, 16th May, 2016. This is to enable the students concerned to conclude their registration for the 2015/2016 session.

The students concerned are to pay their School Charges at the designated Banks (outside the University environment).
